LATAM Airlines has been serving passengers in South America for almost a century. Based in Santiago, Chile, it is now the leading airline in Latin America.Connecting passengers across the continent, it operates routes to destinations including Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, and Peru.LATAM is passionate about protecting its homeland, as South America is home to six of the 10 most biodiverse countries on the planet.
LATAM Airlines, the leading carrier in Latin America, faced one of the highest abandonment rates in a fiercely competitive industry: a striking 98% of users were abandoning their flight bookings. It had no visibility of anonymous visitors and no remarketing in place to win them back. The goals were to cut abandonment, recognise anonymous users, and build a remarketing capability where none existed.
LATAM turned to SaleCycle and deployed cart abandonment email built on a dynamic segmentation strategy. Emails were tailored to the exact destination each user had abandoned, keeping messages relevant and lifting click-through. To capitalise on peak demand, LATAM added features such as countdown timers during Black Friday to drive urgency and conversions.
